Gary Winnick is the founder, chairman and chief executive officer of the private investment group, Pacific Capital Group, Inc. and of iCRETE, L.L.C. – a global concrete technology company.
Financier and philanthropist Gary Winnick, a 1969 graduate of the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University, will return to the Campus Saturday, March 8 to see first-hand the results of his generosity to his alma mater — donations totaling $11 million.
The Winnick Family Clinical Research Center celebrated its sixth anniversary this month and announced that it has 60 active research protocols at the Center in 2008, representing 210 clinical researchers at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. These researchers are active in areas ranging from women’s health and the genetics of common diseases to mitochondrial genetics, insulin resistance and AIDS.
